The Rispana Bridge which is one amongst the renowned locations in Dehradun will now be known as Swami Dayanand Setu says Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Trivendra Singh Rawat after having a one on one conversation with the members of Arya Samaj in his secretariat office. While remembering the adamant contribution of Swami Dayanand in the freedom struggle, the state government decided to revive the spirit of the Rispana River. The Rispana Bridge being one the most important locations in the state of Dehradun unites the hills of Garhwal to Dehradun as the bridge has a number of transport facilities from Dehradun to Garhwal.
Aiming at increasing the water level and making Rispana filth free, the involvement of school students and the youth led group such as MAD is also been done. Starting from Landour in Mussoorie, the Rispana River would be given a new face now and will be restored back to its previous plight says Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat. So not only it will just be named as Swami Dayanand Setu but the Rispana River will also be a thriving Himalayan beauty now.
