14. Tapkeshwar Mahadev Temple
The Tapkeshwar Mahadev Temple is one amongst the oldest and the most visited temple of Lord Shiva situated on the banks of the seasonal Asan River in Dehradun. It is located at a distance of 6.5 km from the Dehradun city. here the water droplets continuously drop on the Shivling and therefore is known as Tapkeshwar. Thousands of pilgrims visit the temple every year from around the country to visit the Drona Cave. During Shivratri a large fair is also held around the Tapkeshwar Temple.
15. Paonta Sahib
Paonta Sahib is a small sacred town that is located in the state of Himachal Pradesh. It is at a distance of 49 km from Dehradun city and is one of the holy places of the Sikh Community and was built in the memory of the 10th Sikh Guru, Guru Gobind Singh. There is a Gurudwara in Paonta Sahib which has a high religious significance and a museum which has the personal accessories of Guru Gobind Singh Ji and therefore the place is must visit when travelling around Dehradun.
