One of the holiest places to visit in Dehradun, the Laxman Siddh Temple is a devotional place for many Hindus. This holy shrine is the cremation site of a great saint called Swami Laxman Siddh.

Mythological Tale related to Laxman Siddh Temple

As per the religious beliefs of the Hindus, the Laxman Siddh Temple is the site where Lord Laxman, the younger brother of Lord Rama indulged in a prolonged penance after annihilating the demon, Ravana. Saint Swami Laxman Siddh who underwent serious meditation at this place was cremated at this site.

Laxman Siddh Fair

The divine Laxman Siddh temple hosts a grand fair each year on the last Sunday of April month. A large number of visitors come here to pay homage to the Samadhi and to see the cultural and traditional mix of Dehradun.

This holy shrine can be easily reached by bus till Harrawala and further 1 km on foot. Laxman Siddh temple is about 36 km from Rishikesh, 44 km from Haridwar and 250 km from Delhi. The nearest rail connectivity Dehradun railway station is at 10 km away from Laxman Siddh. The closest airport, Jolly Grant is at 19 km away from the temple.
