A recent addition to the popular tourist attraction Lacchiwala is the newly created Butterfly Park. It is Uttarakhand’s first butterfly park. The forest at Lacchiwala is home to some of the most beautiful butterflies in Uttarakhand. Keeping this in mind, an eco-friendly Butterfly Park has been created within the premises where tourists can stroll around with their family and friends and spot different types of butterflies.

With over 130 species of butterflies, this facility will also display butterflies with an emphasis of educating tourists about these fragile creatures. Tourists can walk on trails amidst forest which are filled with vibrant butterflies.

How to Reach Butterfly Park, Lachhiwala

Butterfly Park in Lachhiwala is located 22 kms from Dehradun on the Dehradun-Haridwar Road. It is situated just 3 kms from Doiwala.

One can easily find local buses are available from Dehradun, Rishikesh (35 km) and Haridwar (42 km) for Lachhiwala. Dehradun Railway station is the nearest rail head while Jolly Grant Airport, just 8 km from Lachhiwala, is the nearest airport.
