The Doon Literature Festival 2017 by Samaya Sakshaya will begin on Friday 22 December. it is a three day festival where writers and literary lovers from 16 states will be seen. The festival will be held at The Christian Retreat in Old Rajpur, Dehradun. Young writer will be seen displaying their talents along with anime workshops.

The Doon Literature Festival will have more than 25 sessions. A number of linguists like Ganesh Devi, Manglesh Dabral, Shekhar Pathak, Anand Kumar, Pawan Gupta, Neelima Chauhan, Baby Haldar, Prabhat Upreti, Hussain Haidari, Kuwar Ravindre, Gyanendra Pandey, Priyadarshan, Pankaj Bisht,  Shivmurti, Dinesh Karnatak, Radha Bhatt, Nida Nawas, Avinash Das, Vibhari, Diva Bhatt, Gurbachan Singh, Sushuil Shukla, Manisha Pandey and many other writers will be present.

There will also be sessions on Social Diversity, Media, Kashmir,Gandhianism and Women Writing as well says Ranu Bisht, organiser from the Samaya Sakshaya organisation.
