The Carman Residential and day School, Dehradun was founded on 3rd March 1960 by Mr and Mrs I.L.G Mann in the majestic Doon Valley. The school has been producing well-learned, confident and dynamic children. The school is located near Premnagar, Dehradun. Affiliated to the Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations (ICSE), New Delhi.

The school has separate hostel facilities for both boys and girls separately. The hostel for boys is distributed into three segments Junior, Middle and Senior Dorm.

Carman School is located about 11km from the heart of Dehradun at Shyampur (Premnagar). The school is located at a distance of 10km from Clock Tower , 4km from the Indian Military Academy (IMA), 2km from Premnagar and 6km from Ballupur Chawk in Dehradun, Uttarakhand.
Registration is done throughout the year and is not transferable to any other year. Admissions are done depending on the number of vacancies in all classes and under no condition to classes X and XII.
