Gucchupani, Dehradun a well travelled tourist spot has now banned the use of polythene. The tourists will not be allowed to carry eatables in a poly bag beyond the main gate of Gucchupani. The Government of Uttarakhand has taken an initiative to keep Doon clean. The Premises will now be tidier with better cleanliness facilities.
No To Poythene in Gucchupani
At Gucchupani now you cannot carry water bottles, eatables like potato chips, biscuits and other eateries with polythene wrappers on them. Anyone who wants to carry eatables of such kind will have a sticker worth rupees 10 on the commodity, the money will be returned when the sticker pasted would be ripped off of the commodity while you make an exist from Gucchupani.
To ensure the appropriate execution of this new rule, two Soldiers of the PRD Department would be deployed. Through the medium of Swajal Project, Gucchupani will have 15 garbage bins and decantation of waste will be done. The DM declared that after 5pm the entries at Gucchupani will be closed. With the change in infrastructure for the means of safety and the construction of a park in front of the parking and the canteen along with security services, Gucchupani, Dehradun will have new face for its tourists.
