About The 2nd Indo-Nepal Trade Fair & Tourism Festival 2018
The 2nd Indo-Nepal Trade Fair & Tourism Festival will be commencing from 2nd February. It is an 11 day festival that will be held at the Parade Ground in Dehradun.
The Festival is being organized by the Kanchanpur Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI). The fair is also been promoted by Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Export Promotion Centre, Nepal Tourism Board, Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce & Industry along with the help of Embassy of Nepal, New Delhi, India and Embassy of India, Kathmandu, Nepal.
Activities at The Indo-Nepal Trade Fair & Tourism Festival 2018
The fair will help promote the tourism and Nepali products in Indian market. this in turn will help in the betterment of the inter-country relationship. The trade will be having a wide range of products from Nepal and India on display. There will be a number of stalls with an approximate number being of 150 stalls which will include handicraft products, ready made clothes, daily used products, religious and cultural products, leather goods and Nepali food stalls.
There will also be a number of cultural activities and programmes to promote tourism in Nepal. The fair aims to introduce export quality goods which will help to promote Nepali products and services, promote goods produced by domestic, small and medium scale industries, advertise Nepal’s tourist destinations, hotels and resorts and promote packages for tours and travels.
Purpose of The Indo-Nepal Trade Fair & Tourism Festival 2018
With a trade deficiency of more than 66% between Nepal and India KCCI aims at reducing the figure of this deficiency. They also believes that expo will advertise and promote Nepali products, send Nepali products to Indian market, promote Nepali tourist destinations, create a platform for B2B meeting between local businesspersons from Dehradun and Nepali entrepreneurs, help to materialise the agreement and give continuity to bilateral trade.
